SHAPES AND COLORS - THE DELUXE EDITION

to whoever may be reading this,
ever since shapes and colors released on july 24th of 2020, my life has been so much better overall. the night before the release was one of the best nights of my life, as i was able to premiere the first project i put all of my creativity and effort into to my friends and early supporters. since that albums release (just over 7 months ago as i'm writing this) people have named it as one of their favorite albums of the year, and for the first time in my life, i learned what it felt like to know my music reached a wider audience and was received positively. though as of right now i have an entire new album that is almost finished, i feel like this is the perfect time to dive deeper into the very album that gave me a level of
recognition i once thought i could never reach. most of the bonus tracks in side b were taken off of earlier versions of shapes and colors for various reasons, and though i'm definitely not going to show the world
*all* of the demos taken off of the album (spoiler alert: they're almost all horrible), i think that releasing these individual bits of scrapped material give a greater idea of what shapes and colors is and what it could have been. as for the remixes in side c, all as for the remixes in side c, all 9 of these tell their own story. the idea of self-remixing is and always has been a very fun concept for me, and these remixes give an idea of what
shapes and colors could have been if i had made it with the inspirations and skill i have today. this explanation has gotten long enough already and though i have enough to say about this album to fill a book,
i think i'll end it here. to conclude, shapes and colors and all the contents of its deluxe edition all hold precious memories and a special place in my heart, and i hope that you can enjoy this project as much as i enjoyed creating it.
